Seymour, Victoria is on the banks of the State's largest river, the Goulburn and is an easy 95k drive north of Melbourne via the Hume Highway. The town was established in the mid 1800's as the "New Crossing Place" for travellers between Sydney and Melbourne. To-day the Hume and Goulburn Valley Highways cross at the town as does the main Sydney Melbourne rail line. Seymour has grown to become a hub for central Victoria and offers an abundance of experiences. Seymour is the largest & most northern town in Mitchell Shire.
