Seymour Victoria  -  Goulburn River Valley  - The Heart of Victoria

Seymour, Victoria is on the banks of the States largest river, the Goulburn River and is an easy 95k drive north of Melbourne via the Hume Highway. The town was established in the mid 1800's as the "New Crossing Place" for travellers between Sydney and Melbourne.
To-day the Hume and the Goulburn Valley Highways cross at the town as does the main Sydney Melbourne rail line. Seymour has grown to become a hub for central Victoria and offers an abundance of experiences.

Seymour is the second town mentioned in the original Australian 1960's version of the song   "I've Been Everywhere!!"          Have YOU been to Seymour?
